±Ø³Ô´ó¹Ïalumna Nicole Morgret gave an invited talk on the plight of the Uyghurs in China at the 2019 in Berlin in October.
Nicole is a Project Manager with the , a prominent advocacy group in Washington, DC. Days after her Berlin appearance she and colleagues staged an event on Capitol Hill on the plight of China's Uyghurs. The issue has been debated in the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, while a bill -- , the Uyghur Human Rights Policy Act of 2019 -- has passed the Senate.
A proud ±Ø³Ô´ó¹Ïalumna (Class of 2007), Nicole took her BA in International Relations, and then went on to do an MA at Johns Hopkins SAIS Nanjing campus, and spent four years in China.
